Artsmark is the creative quality standard for schools and education settings, awarded by Arts Council England, recognising their commitment to high quality arts and cultural education.

Magic Lantern is proud to be supporting schools and education settings on their Artsmark journey, inspiring children and young people to create, experience, and participate in great arts and culture.

We offer education settings who are working towards, or currently hold an Artsmark Award, with the following opportunities:

  • Engaging, interactive art history workshops in the classroom where children explore and engage with famous artworks and discover the world of art from cave paintings to Cubism, Gothic to Graffiti
  • Expertise in working with young people from Early Years to A-level students
  • A chance to use visual art to open up the whole school curriculum, e.g. history (including The Stone Age, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, The Vikings, Tudors, Victorians, World War II), geography (e.g. Rainforests, India, Japan), science (e.g. Forces, Water, Maths), literacy, RE, art & design and many, many more:
  • Skill development including problem solving, communication, visual observation, critical thinking and confidence
  • Access to CPD opportunities including a teachers’ workshop on Using Visual Art across the School Curriculum
  • Assistance and support in your Artsmark case study
