School Workshops
Our award winning workshops promote visual literacy and are designed to get children looking, thinking and speaking about art.
These classroom-based workshops use art to extend learning across the primary curriculum. They are suitable for art and design topics, and they also complement learning in a range of foundation subjects including history, geography and science.
Each interactive session uses elements of dialogue, drama, soundscape, slow looking and creative writing to bring artworks to life.
Sessions last 60 minutes for Y2-6 and 45 minutes for YR-Y1. The cost is £60 per session in all state maintained schools; book 4 for the cost of 3.
Magic Lantern was awarded with a JM Barrie Member’s Award by Action for Children’s Arts for “25 years of helping people to observe and explore the world around them and to think creatively and critically through a series of art history workshops”.
